Madison Apple is a Tampa-based artist who enjoys finding, and sharing, the beauty of ordinary things.
Trained by Kevin Grass, she combines a structured system of drawing with a more painterly, loose execution, resulting in a style influenced by John Singer Sargent and Anders Zorn. Her portraits often communicate a deep sense of melancholy, and common subjects include cloudscapes, close-up works of shadows, and her "Portraits of Mary" series. She works primarily in acrylics, but dabbles in charcoal, marker, and murals.
It's important to me to make my art accessible.
I'm working on a way to sell art prints for a lower price than originals or commissions, so stay tuned.
