Banana Wine

Charcoal on Paper, 9x12"

2024

$80

A banana (organic, yet oddly symmetrical) rests on a glass (whose existence relies on symmetry). Shadows remain scratchy in the background and are distorted by the glass. Could you make wine with bananas? I don't know, but I would try it.

Orchid in Alcohol

Marker on Paper, 9x12"

2025

$70

Strange purple-red shadows rest on a solid orange background that seems to dissipate as it rises. A doodle of mine says "hello" at the top (something I write when I need to move, but don't know what to do.

One of the projects that convinced me to keep working with markers. It allowed me to experiment with color in a different way than acrylics. I organize my markers not by what color they are, but by how light or dark they show up. The goal is a drawing that "works" when viewed through a black-and-white filter, but forces me to be more creative.

Asher

Acrylic on Stretched Canvas, 9x12"

2025

$128

The morning shadow cast by a child looking through a window, through a camera. Part of my exploration of shadows. I love all the hidden lines of color in them.

Referenced a photo of a dear friend of mine to get this piece.
